Install soffit element and soffit external grille

  1. On exterior wall side, slide rubber seal onto protruding wall sleeve.
  2. Slide soffit element onto wall sleeve/rubber seal up to stop. The soffit duct must be flush with the wall. Shorten wall sleeve if the soffit duct protrudes beyond the wall.
  3. Align soffit duct and ensure an incline of 1 to 2 % towards the window.
  4. Secure soffit element.

NOTICE: Incorrect screw connection will result in unit damage. If screwing directly to the wall, drill holes with a max. diameter of 8 mm, exactly in the groove. Never drill the soffit duct at any other point.

  1. Fix soffit element to wall (e.g. with mounting adhesive). Alternatively, screw soffit element to wall with suitable screws or wind clamping band around at 2 to 3 locations and screw to the wall.
  2. Adjust exterior wall façade insulation to the soffit element.
  3. Remove two-part stainless steel grille before mounting work commences.
  4. Press stainless steel holder into soffit duct and carefully screw down with the 4 stainless steel Spax screws provided (but not too tightly). Ensure that the holder is sealed completely at the bottom.

Wall seal protects against leakages and prevents any condensate produced from getting behind the plaster.

  1. Only mount soffit external grille once the plastering is complete.

Formation of surface rust: External factors (e.g., air containing sulphur dioxide or salt, dust containing iron etc.) may cause surface rust to form on stainless steel. We recommend thoroughly cleaning unpainted stainless steel parts before installation (remove dust and fingerprints) and rubbing in a little oil (e.g. care oil for stainless steel). When mounting external grilles made of stainless steel, use only stainless steel screws.
